Ming Mur-Ray, a multidisciplinary artist, has exhibited her work in numerous national and international museums, galleries, and private collections, including: The Guggenheim Museum, Walker Arts Center, PS1, Grey Art Gallery of New York University and The Hong Kong Arts Center. Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker Magazine, and Art in America. Her work is socially and politically engaged, addressing issues of identity, censorship, and people with disabilities. Her recent works focuses on photography, and documentary filmmaking. Mur-Ray was born in Hong Kong, she received her MFA from the University of Cincinnati, and a Professional Certificate in documentary filmmaking at NYU SPS. She lives and works in Oakland, California.
